Pricing

Answers on the Brave Search site are free for all users on desktop and mobile. Brave says it hopes to keep them free but may add a paid tier later. The Answers API is separate: $4 per 1,000 requests plus $5 per million tokens, with $5 of free credit each month and prepaid billing rather than a subscription.

What it covers

Brave's own independent index, which it says holds about 20 billion pages. Answers draw on those results, plus location listings for businesses and points of interest.

Citations and verification

Answers show cited source pages, with the regular blue links shown beneath the answer. Brave says grounding reduces made-up answers but does not guarantee accuracy.

API
