Pricing
Kagi's pricing page lists Trial (100 searches), Starter at $5 per month with 300 searches, Professional at $10 per month with unlimited searches, and Ultimate at $25 per month with unlimited searches and Research mode. Prices exclude sales tax. Annual billing is described as 10 percent off, but annual dollar amounts were not shown. Assistant use is limited by a monthly or yearly token allowance measured in dollars, and it pauses once used up.
What it covers
Assistant uses Kagi Search when web access is on, and users can apply Lenses and Personalized Results. Users can also paste a URL, up to 50 MB, for the Assistant to read. Ultimate includes premium models from several providers, and all plans include smaller models.
Citations and verification
Kagi's Assistant help page does not describe how it cites sources, so we cannot confirm the citation format. Search results it uses come from Kagi Search, which shows the source links.
API
Kagi's API has a Search endpoint listed at $12 per 1,000 requests on its API pricing page. Ultimate subscribers get reduced rates on some Kagi API services. See https://kagi.com/api/pricing

Kagi or Hyperresearch?
Choose Kagi for ad-free searchers who want cited answers and a choice of models. When an agent needs one checked answer rather than a list of links, Hyperresearch Answers is our editorial choice: it scored 89% on BrowseComp in its own run, and every quote it returns is matched to its source page.
